KENNETH STREET TAMARAMA

Refurbishment of a 1960s multi-unit building in Tamarama, located at the end of the block, with sweeping views of the Ocean and direct access to the famous Bondi to Bronte walk.

Construction of a mixed use building on the old telephone exchange on Belgrave Street in Manly. Lighting advice was provided on the main foyer to provide a welcoming and sophisticated entry for residents and visitors and for the typical apartment layouts.

WOOLOOWARE BAY FORESHORE LIGHTING
Completed 2020
Part of the Woolooware Bay Town Centre project, new post top and bollard lighting was provided to the pedestrian and cycleway. Bollards were provided facing towards the development fitted with asymmetric lenses to minimise light spill beyond the path into the local ecosystem.

LEICHHARDT TOWN HALL
Ongoing
Remediation and restoration of the exterior facade of the Victorian Italianate Leichhardt Town Hall, including a new natural stone colour scheme, and external lighting to the clock tower and main facades on Norton Street and Marion Street. This project was recently awarded a prize in the Conservation Built Heritage category.

LEICHHARDT PARK AQUATIC CENTRE

Master plan of the existing electrical services infrastructure at Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre. This included removal of the ancient old main switchboard that was located inside the Manager's office, as well as various DB upgrades, and infrastructure changes to accommodate new pool heat pumps and future buildings.

BURWOOD HERITAGE CHURCHES
Completed 2019
Burwood Council commissioned heritage lighting project as part of their beautification strategy for the LGA to illuminate the main street facades. Included in this project are: the Uniting Church, St Pauls Church, St Nectarios Church, Baptist Church and Burwood Presbyterian Church. Lighting was selected to showcase the Gothic and Romanesque architecture and material features while meeting heritage requirements. The project is now awaiting funding approval.

STUART HIGHWAY DARWIN
FLAG POLE LIGHTING
Completed 2019
At the Stuart Highway and Bagot Road flyover in Darwin Northern Territory, new lighting was provided to illuminate the Australian flag, the Northern Territory glag and the Aboriginal flag. Installed in fixed concrete plinths the adjustable narrow beam spot lights were aimed in groups of three to illuminate each flag separately.

KRISTIE PETERS ARTWORK FOR AMEX

Gallery lighting for the Kristie Peters artwork that was commissioned by AMEX for their Barangaroo offices. Kristie is a Wiradjuri Artist based in Canberra ACT.

CAMPERDOWN FITNESS

A new site was found for the Camperdown Fitness Club as a result of the government land acquisition for the Westconnex project. The new gym is located in a refurbished Inner West factory with the floor area increasing to over 3000m2. Over 3 levels, included is an internal car park, cardio room, group fitness studio, open gym, spin class, boxing area, and pilates/yoga room. The interiors took on the original industrial aesthetics inherited from the building, with contrasting high end material finishes. The interior lighting complemented the architectural form and features, with high uniformity for visual comfort and awareness. Whilst the end result took a different direction, the end result provides a value adding project for the local community.

BELROSE BOWLING CLUB

Complete refurbishment of the entire Belrose Bowling Club, including new entry, bars, lounges, dining, kitchen, kids area, gaming and terrace.

NV FRAGRANCE PERTH
Completed 2019
External lighting design for the new Novotel Perth Murray Street, consisting of the organic facade, the fractal facade, pedestrian lighting, halo lighting at the top of the hotel, and flood lighting to the side of the hotel.

DUBBO RSL AQUATIC CENTRE
Completed 2019
Remediation of the existing pool at Dubbo RSL Club, including construction of a new roof structure, and new lighting to the surrounding pool areas and new electrical works.

INNER WEST COUNCIL SOLAR PV CONDITION ASSESSMENT
Completed 2019
Condition assessment of the Inner West Council's 31 existing solar PV installations. This included carrying out inspections at each site, identifying non-compliance, reviewing existing electrical supply arrangements and condition of DBs. An action plan was then developed to address the rectification of non-compliance, identify possible improvements in existing system performance, create an on-going maintenance program and to look at potential upgrades and new systems.

PIONEERS MEMORIAL PARK

Remediation of the existing rotunda structure located at Pioneers Memorial Park in Leichhardt, including repainting of the steel structure, installation of new grid connected solar photovoltaic system and new external lighting for the stage area.

HOWARD LIBRARY
Completed 2018
New library dedicated to former Prime Minister John Howard in the UNSW Canberra, where never before seen artefacts, personal papers, memorabilia and other items like his tracksuit, can be seen. Custom lighting solutions were provided to the display boxes that complied with conservation and colour rendering requirements of a gallery/museum.

GOLSTON JEWELLERY SYDNEY WESTFIELD

Fit-out of a new Golston jewellery store in the boutique ground level of Sydney Westfield. Integrated lighting was provided to the display cases, together with tightly spaced downlights set-out directly above for immediate impact and sparkle. Concealed lighting was provided to window displays and to back-light mirrors to create a halo effect.

HORNSBY RSL CLUB

Facade upgrade and minor interior refurbishment of the bar and lounge areas on the ground floor at Hornsby RSL Club. New electrical services were provided to the F&B equipment at the bar, to the TAB and Keno section, and for the interior lighting.

SOUTH COAST NSW
SENIORS LIVING DEVELOPMENT

Electrical services master plan of a new large scale retirement village located on the NSW South Coast. Consisting of a Residential Care Facility, multiple Apartment Blocks, independent living Duplexes and a Medical Centre.

WAGGA RSL CLUB
Completed 2017
A multi-staged interiors refurbishment of the Wagga RSL Club. The first stage included the coffee shop and pizza kitchen. The second stage included the main bar and surrounding lounge and dining areas. The Club floor was opened up to reveal clearly distinct areas defined by new decorative lighting and finishes.

ARTS HOTEL LIGHTING INSTALLATION

Colour changing facade lighting installation at the Arts Hotel in Paddington. Each hote room balcony has an addressable RGBA LED strip installed centred on the balcony. This is wired back to the Pharos lighting control system. With the geometric layout of the facade, each balcony can have a different colour, and can create a low-res effect.

IDP EDUCATION SYDNEY
Completed 2017
Fit-out of the IDP Education Sydney facility for international students that study in Australia. The main floor has an open plan layout with workstations, collaborative areas, informal meeting areas and social lounges.

PARRAMATTA PARK AMENITIES
Completed 2016
New amenities and shade structures installed in the heritage lighted Parramatta Park. Designed to be work in a variety of locations, the structures have a dark finish, with recycled blackbutt timber cladding that will over time allow the building tonestle into the surrounding landscape. Natural light is diffused through the translucent roof. Vandalproof lighting is integrated into vertical steel columns with microwave sensors activating on/off control.

GOWRIE CHILDCARE ERSKINEVILLE

Small interiors refurbishment of the Lady Gowrie Erskineville Centre in preparation of the 75th anniversary celebrations in 2015. The focus was on the function of spaces rather than the aesthetics of them, which is in line with their commitment to the pedagogy of early childhood teaching. The interiors was inspired by the Scandinavian early learning centres. As such new task lighting was concealed in recessed channels with indirect lighting with ceiling coffers.

SHORT STREET MANLY REVITALISATION

Revitalisation of the Short Street precinct off Sydney Road in Manly NSW. New lighting was proposed that included suspended LED nodes installed on tensile catenary wires, as well as LED strip lighting to highlight a mural, inground uplights to the green wall, and new post tops for pedestrian lighting requirements. Note: the majority of the proposed works were unfortunately removed from the scope and not installed.

ROAD LIGHTING UPGRADE FOR DARLINGHURST APARTMENTS

City of Sydney Council road lighting upgrade to Ausgrid illumination requirements and DA conditions for the mixed-use development located at 27 Boundary Street Darlinghurst.

LOYALTY SQUARE BALMAIN
Completed 2015
Landscape revitalisation of the Loyalty Square intersection in Balmain, complete with new seating, paving, custom sandstone bollard lighting, fig tree uplighting, flag pole uplighting, and lighting to the memorial.

ST JOHNS PARK BOWLING CLUB
Completed 2014
Foyer upgrade and new Porte-cochere stage of the master plan at St Johns Park Bowling Club. The interior design was inspired by nature with a leaf motif artwork laser cut into aluminium panels on the facade, and metal discs that represent lily pads installed onto the foyer wall. A custom modular lighting installation from Aqua Creations sits as a backdrop behind the reception/sign in desk.

BRAND X CENTRAL PARK

During the early stages of the construction of the Central Park site, local artists, photographers, fashion designers and entertainers were invited to activate a floor. Some of these companies included Brand X, 10x8 and Roger Tait. Pallet crates were internally illuminated to provide the main facade to each area. The entertainment space had custom linear suspended lights, the photography studio had suspended track lighting and the dance studio suspended vintage industrial pendant lighting.
