LUNE DE SANG PAVILION

Completed 2018

The Pavilion is the latest stage of the ambitious Lune de Sang project located in the Byron Bay hinterland. The pavilion is both a home and a public gathering space for family and friends that are split into two distinct parts. Sustainability and integration were key motivators for this project, in particular with the Pavilion and the local ecosystem. As such, close collaboration and exploration were required between the design team, the builder and client to achieve these results. Interior task lighting was integrated into the rhythm of the ceiling, hidden from view, with high visual comfort. In the pool graduated light spills over the horizontal surface of the steps and along the long side it runs as a continuous element filling the pool with light for atmosphere.
